Baan Jai Yen is a spacious, elevated home constructed entirely of beautifully stained natural hardwoods on sturdy concrete stilts. The house is well protected from the elements by a spectacular vaulted roof that covers the entire living area, making it an excellent choice for any time of year. Its large windows and doors offer spectacular views and give the entire house a roomy, open feeling with excellent airflow throughout. Baan Jai Yen features a large master bedroom with a king-sized bed and a comfortable living room that is easily converted into a second bedroom. A smaller child’s room is connected directly to the master bedroom, allowing parents to sleep close to their small children while still enjoying their own space. The master bedroom and the living room/second bedroom each have attractive woven bamboo privacy doors, powerful overhead double fans, and a secluded veranda facing the jungle – perfect for relaxing and watching wildlife. The house also features a kitchen/eating area complete with 6-person dining table and chairs and a covered front veranda with sea views. The bathroom is complete with a ‘rain shower’ type showerhead, non-slip tiles, a western toilet and vanity, and a wooden dressing bench. A family travelling with small children will appreciate the child-friendly features of Baan Jai Yen, which was designed with child safety in mind. The house is surrounded by attractive ornamental wooden partitions that are designed to allow maximum ventilation while preventing children from falling. There are no built-in benches or other fixtures that put small children at risk of falling, and a gate protects the front stairs. Electrical outlets and switches are located high off the floor, and the entire living area is on a single level with no stairs or other hazards. The cozy child’s room is furnished with a twin-sized bed. It is situated directly off the master bedroom, allowing small children to have their own space while providing parents the security of being able to see their children throughout the night. The Dutch door to the child’s room can be closed on the bottom to prevent wandering kids and left open on the top for visibility, and the windows in the room are set high up. Baan Jai Yen is the perfect house for families with young children.
