Baan DeeClassification: Luxury Sea View Sleeps: 3-5 Adults in one King size bed and two single beds. Additional bed available upon request. Exterior Design: Classic elevated two storey Thai house with sprawling open veranda . Interior Layout: 2 Bedrooms; 1 Bath Living room, upstairs and downstairs bedrooms, large open sitting area in back. Location: About 9 minutes to the clubhouse and 60 meters to the beach. Description: There are few finer examples of the ideal island house than Baan Dee. Every single detail, from the separate connected bath house to balance between open and enclosed areas was purposefully designed for life on Golden Buddha. The classic Thai roofline and grand staircase create a welcoming entranceway to this one of a kind home. Baan Dee is one of only two homes to have a veranda which wraps around the entire house. The slopping roof provides both protection and shade. The front area of the veranda is incorporated into the stairs so there are almost infinite places to sit and enjoy the wonderful ocean views. In the back of the house an equally large sitting area, both open and enclosed, offer a unique opportunity to interact with the jungle's inhabitants. (Tropical birds like the Hornbill often perch right outside.) | The louvered front glass doors provide optimal protection when it rains, yet open up fully to capture the sea breezes during the usually beautiful weather. Inside Baan Dee are two spacious downstairs rooms and an upstairs master bedroom. The downstairs can be configured to your liking. |
Either room can be a living area or a bedroom (or both). Space is ample as is style, with the liberal use of polished hardwoods and hand woven tapestries. Custom designed furniture completes the decor. Baan Dee's bathroom uses the same architectural style. It is detached from the main house and connected with a private walkway incorporated into the veranda. Expect a large shower, ample room, and all the western amenities. Recommendations: Luxury Sea View Houses, like Baan Dee, have proven to be the best type of accommodation for families. Parents with very young children, however, may find the elevated design problematic. Also the upstairs bedroom can only be reached by climbing a ladder…fun for some, forbidding for others. If these factors are not of concern to you, then you may have a difficult time finding a more perfect tropical island house than Baan Dee.
