Baan Robin's design is both simple and elegant; practical yet stylish. Traditional local building materials like the thatching for the roof contrast the intricate wood carvings throughout the house. Baan Robin makes liberal use of indigenous wood, both polished and with natural matte finish.  | Robin (along with her sister house Lucy) are built among a patch of Lak Talay trees. Instead of clearing the area, these large old growth trees were integrated into Robin's design. Baan Robin exemplifies what Golden Buddha Beach Resort is all about. |
The entire structure is built upon stilts and a stairway leads up to Baan Robin's ocean facing veranda. The roofline extends over the spacious veranda completely covering it from the elements. The front and two sides are open for great sea views. A unique bench, made from long single boards, forms the railing. 
| Inside Baan Robin is warm and welcoming. Shelving displays local handcrafts, art adorns the walls, and long polished planks of hardwood make up the floors. Shuttered windows on all sides provide the option for privacy or completely open up the house to the tropical sea breeze. A good night's sleep is assured on the king size bed. Baan Robin's spacious bathroom keeps with the simple and elegant theme. Large cuts of stone are liberally used throughout (making up the walls, floor, shower, and sink counter). A western style toilet completes the spacious and well appointed bathroom. |

Baan Robin is an excellent choice for a couple or an individual traveler who want comfortable accommodations with a local flair. Paired with its sister house, Baan Lucy, and you have a beach compound perfect for two couples or a family. The house's location makes it partially exposed during the high surf and strong winds of the monsoon season. During the sunny days of the rest of the year, Baan Robin's covered veranda and the large tropical trees provide both cooling shade and extra privacy.
