About Baan naga

A house for all seasons with its solar water heater and 24h solar electricity, Baan Naga  reflects its owner’s attention to details. The roof for instance is clad with Thai temple tiles. It consists of five layers of roofing, and an overall design that incorporates Burmese elements.

The underlying concern behind the design of Baan Naga was to create a solid structure, capable of weathering the great storms of the rainy season with minimum maintenance, whist still harnessing the cooling effect of the sea breeze. Thus it is a large solid house, built very close to the shore on high columns, cool and breezy. Open plan living leads seamlessly from bedroom to living room to terraces.
